Biography & Teaching Heritage
Nancy Wuisan began her professional movement journey with classical ballet training in Europe before returning to Jakarta in 1981. In 1994, she pioneered Pilates Mat education in Indonesia alongside her formal Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) teaching certification.
Her quest for somatic mastery led her to teach in Brisbane in 1998, followed by intensive Pilates Bodyworks certification in 2004. Nancy joined Sunset Pilates Bali at its founding in 2007, serving as the guiding master teacher whose wisdom shaped the studio's clinical reputation.
In 2011, Nancy was invited to conduct specialized biomechanics and injury prevention seminars for the Indonesian Olympic Committee. In 2012, she formally founded Sunset Pilates' teacher training curriculum, bringing over four decades of dance, rehabilitation, and apparatus mastery to generations of teachers.
